Writing Workshop #1: In Text Citations (linked on Senior Project page) Again, all students must use in-text citations whenever they quote or paraphrase. At this point we're not going to practice. I will do a quick review, and then I am going to refuse to answer any questions that are covered on the handout or easily searchable on Purdue OWL. Writing Workshop #2: Setting up Quotations (linked Senior Project page) All students are expected to set up and follow up their quotations throughout their senior thesis. Given the prevalence of errors here, we are ALL going to practice this together before we go into Part 3, which is the part of your paper with significant citations and quotes. Outline Conferences

Outline Assignment If you are stuck, do more research or conference with me Goal: Complete outline for part 3/4 Thesis Statement Workshop
Time to get ourselves a working thesis statement! Please note, I do expect whatever you come up with today to morph and change as you write and think more deeply about how to synthesize your research. This is to get us started, and give you some direction in your outlining process. Outlining Once you have a thesis statement that has gone through the critique process (see Senior Project page for this!), you should start outlining. My suggestion is that you start thinking about Part 3, and thinking about how you want to organize this section. Think about major themes in your research, different arguments that are made about your topic, and start making groups. Then move on to outlining Parts 1 and 2.
HOMEWORK: Work on your outline! The sooner you finish (and get it approved by Lori), the more time you have to write! DUE TODAY: Final Annotated Bibliography
